The Committe COROT-BRASIL has the pleasure of announcing the second brazilian meeting on COROT to be held at the Wembley Inn Hotel in Ubatuba (SP) from November 2-6, 2005. The scientific program of the workshop will be devoted to data analysis and scientific interpretation, centered on the following themes:

• Stellar Rotation
• Stellar Activity
• PMS Stars
• Exoplanets and planetary systems formation

Reunion format

• Invited review talks on the present status and prospects of the mission
• Invited review and short talks on the workshop themes
• Interactive discussions on AO replies
• Poster contributions

People interested in attending the meeting are invited to contribute oral or poster presentations. The contributions should be submitted no later than August 31, preferably as soon as possible. In early September, a first version of the programme will be announced.

Registration

The registration form should be sent to corotwork@astro.iag.usp.br and should include the following information:

• Name, institute and address
• Subject of the proposed presentation (please include the duration time for oral presentations)
• Need for funding

Please, send an abstract of your contributions as soon as possible to the above address: it will be useful for funding requests.

• Dead-line for registration: September 20

Hotel expenses (four days, all meals included): about 120 Euros

The LOC expects to obtain partial funding for a limited number of participants. Please remember to indicate if you need funding on the registration form.

Transport

It is not easy to go from Sao Paulo airport to the Ubatuba beaches by public transport. Since night flights from Europe arrive in Sao Paulo in the early morning, transport by vans from the Guarulhos Airport to the Wembley Inn hotel will be arranged for the morning of November 2. Details will be given in a next announcement. Please do your best to arrive in Sao Paulo in the morning of November 2.
