Título/Title: CMB Foregrounds and the results of the ARCADE experiment
Resumo/Abstract: Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) Radiation encodes fundamental information about the early universe. Nevertheless, the use of CMB data for cosmology is limited due to the foreground contamination, mostly caused by the Galactic diffuse emissions. This work will discuss the present status of foreground knowledge and will present the results of the ARCADE (Absolute Radiometer for Cosmology, Astrophysics and Diffuse Emission) and its contribution to foreground determination. Particularly we will discuss the excess foreground reported in the frequency range between 1 - 10 Ghz, its possible causes and its implications to the foreground studies. |
