Título/Title: X-ray emission from PTT stars
Resumo/Abstract:
| I present preliminary results on a multi-wavelength campaign to observe in the visible and in the X-rays (using XMM-Newton) the visual binary “Horace”. The two stars are strong and very active X-ray emitters, and are members of an association of Post-T-Tauri stars. A detailed study (in particular in terms of chemical composition) is important for our understanding of the evolution from the T-Tauri phase, and to explain the origin of the X-ray emission in very young stars. |
