Using a parallel multiprocessor 3d MHD code, we studied the interaction of the heliosphere and the interstellar medium. Recently, we discovered that at the edge of this interaction region, the region is unstable, producing a jet which oscillates from north to south due to shear instabilities. The same effect is predicted for the interaction of stellar winds with the interstellar medium.
