Recently, a method has been proposed to determine distances of galactic planetary nebulae (PN) based on the different properties of the Peimbert types, and taking into account the behaviour of the PN central stars on the log g x log Teff plane. In this paper, the method has been applied to a sample of galactic objects, so that gravity distances or limits for 167 PN have been determined, which form the basis of a new statistical distance scale.
