HBETA LUMINOSITIES OF PLANETARY NEBULA CENTRAL STARS

Astrophys. Space Sci. 222, 147-155 (1994) The determination of the luminosities of planetary nebula central stars from Hbeta nebular fluxes is investigated. A correlation is obtained with the luminosities derived from independent stellar parameters. An average scaling factor is determined for Hbeta luminosities of optically thick nebulae, as well as correlations of this parameter with the Zanstra HeII and HI temperatures.
