COROT - Pre-Main Sequence Stars
Brazilian Team

Additional Program TARGETS

Two sets of candidates were selected among the PMS objects in the CoRoT fields: (i) long run candidates - 82 stars located close to the prime targets; (ii) short run candidates – 42 stars at distances smaller than 8 degrees from the centre/anticentre CoRoT fields. Most of the objects have V magnitudes ranging from 11.5 to 15.5 mag and are considered members of young clusters. Several objects are from the PDS and HBC Catalogs, and other ones are X-rays sources showing characteristics of young stars. We also include in the target list a few bright PMS objects, candidates to be observed in the seismology field. Finally, the list contains 67 other non PMS stars, which are in the CoRoT fields and could be interesting for different research purposes.

The plots below show the spatial distribution of all candidates in both centre and anticentre fields. The following tables show a summary of the targets list. To see details (coordinates, magnitude, spectral type and spatial distribution), please click on the object name.
