Welcome
I am a Professor in the Department of Astronomy at Universidade de São Paulo. My research group studies gas dynamics and high-energy phenomena across a wide range of astrophysical systems: from the Sun to clusters of galaxies, mainly using numerical magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). We employ advanced algorithms for multidimensional simulations of astrophysical sources using high-performance computing.
I am part of the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) Collaboration and serve as the Brazilian PI of the ASTRI Mini-Array, the CTA precursor.
